Hearts of Oak has announced the commencement date for the second phase of their pre-season training, scheduled to begin on Monday, September 4, 2023.
This phase of training will take place in Koforidua, the capital of the Eastern Region of Ghana, and will involve players, the technical team, and the club’s Communication Team.
The team will be accommodated at the Bedtime Hotel in Koforidua during this second phase of training as they continue their preparations for the upcoming 2023/24 football season.
The decision to move to Koforidua comes after the completion of the first phase of pre-season training at the Pobiman Sports Complex in Accra, where the team participated in a series of friendly matches.
Before heading to the Eastern Region, Hearts of Oak is scheduled to play a friendly match against newly promoted Division One League side Okwahu United at the Pobiman Sports Complex on Sunday at 3:00 PM. This friendly is part of the team’s efforts to conclude their spiritual preparations ahead of the new season.
Hearts of Oak had a challenging season last year, failing to secure a top-four spot in the Ghana Premier League and ending the season without any trophies. However, they are determined to improve their performance in the upcoming season and compete for titles.
The appointment of the new technical director, Rene Hiddink, and coach Martin Koopman has injected fresh hope and excitement among the fans, providing a significant boost as they look forward to the new season.
Fans are optimistic that with the revamped Hearts of Oak team and the addition of new players such as Kofi Agbesimah, Kelvin Osei Asibey, Michael Ampadu, and Congolese forward Kashala Ramos Wanet (whose signing is nearly finalized), the team will have a successful and competitive campaign in the upcoming season.
