Former Hearts of Oak CEO Harry Zakour has expressed his deep concern about the club’s current situation, admitting that he’s losing sleep over their poor performance.
With only one game remaining in the 2023/24 Ghana Premier League, the Phobian Club is on the brink of relegation and must win their final match to avoid the drop.
In an interview with Asempa FM’s Ultimate Sports Show, Zakour lamented that Hearts of Oak is no longer the same club he knew, saying “The current situation of Hearts of Oak is concerning. This isn’t the Hearts of Oak I know. “This is a club with a long history, once ranked as the eighth best in the world,” he said.
He urged for changes to be made, stating that ““We need to modify the way things are run. It’s upsetting to see the club in this state. “I am deeply unhappy with the current state of Hearts, and it keeps me awake at night,” he continued.
Zakour’s words are a testament to his deep unhappiness with the current state of the club, which he said keeps him awake at night.
Hearts of Oak will face Bechem United in their final match of the season on Sunday at Nana Fosu Gyeabour Park.
