Ghana Football Association (GFA) President Kurt Okraku has shared his belief that the upcoming Super Clash between Hearts of Oak and Asante Kotoko holds the power to bring the country together.
The much-anticipated fixture, scheduled for Sunday at the Accra Sports Stadium, is part of match week 30 in the Ghana Premier League. The two most celebrated clubs in Ghanaian football history will renew their long-standing rivalry in a game that promises excitement and passion.
Speaking to Asempa FM ahead of the encounter, Okraku highlighted the significance of the match beyond just football.
“It is a game with a lot of interest. It is a game that unites all of us and inspires us in the same measure. I wish both teams the best of luck,” he said.
Asante Kotoko will be hoping to complete a season double over their archrivals, having claimed a narrow 1-0 victory in the first-round meeting in Kumasi.
Going into the clash, Kotoko sit fourth on the league table with 50 points—just three points behind current leaders GoldStars—while Hearts of Oak occupy sixth place with 45 points.
With pride, points, and history on the line, the Super Clash is once again expected to capture national attention and deliver a thrilling spectacle for football fans across the country.
