Defender Alidu Seidu of Clermont Foot and Ghana claims he hurt himself at his first trial after arriving in France from Ghana.

Before departing the country, the 22-year-old, who was born in Aboabo, Ghana, began his playing career at JMG Academy.

He travelled to France to take part in a trial with Troyes, but during his two appearances for the French team, he suffered major injuries.

My first justify was in Troyes,” he told the Star Connect team.

“I went there and the first training that I had, I injured my ankle. My ankle got broken. I went there again for the second time, I did the trials for two weeks and I got injured again.

“The team told me I am not a strong player and I am injury prone so they won’t select me.”

That injury however led to his agent calling him to inform him about Clermont’s risk to give him an opportunity.
