Liverpool striker Darwin Nunez says being named in the Uruguay squad for the 2022 FIFA World Cup is a dream fulfilled.
Nunez mentioned that he has been looking forward for this opportunity and he is glad it has finally come.
“I always dreamed that this day would come.” Nunez stated after the list was released on Friday.
Nunez, 23, made his debut for Uruguay in 2019 and has so far won thirteen caps scoring three goals.
Uruguay are paired in the same Group with Ghana, Portugal and South Korea.
