Following the thrilling victory against Nigeria’s Falconets, Black Princesses head coach Yussif Basigi showered praise on striker Mukarama Abdulai for her outstanding performance on Thursday night.
Abdulai, a key figure in the Ghana U20 women’s squad, showcased her talent in the final of the women’s football tournament at the 13th African Games. In a fiercely contested match at the Cape Coast Stadium, she delivered a remarkable goal in extra time, sealing a sensational 2-1 comeback win for the Black Princesses.
In his post-match remarks, Coach Yussif Basigi expressed his admiration for Abdulai’s prowess on the field, affirming his unwavering belief in her abilities.
“Mukarama is a household name. I knew with time she would make it. She’s the most experienced striker amongst all the strikers here and I’m not surprised she has made the difference,” coach Yussif Basigi said.
Alongside Abdulai’s heroics, Tracey Twum also contributed a crucial goal that propelled Ghana to victory over Nigeria in the thrilling encounter.
