Ghanaian rising star Nathaniel Adjei emphasizes that joining the French Ligue 1 with FC Lorient is a significant step forward in his football journey after completing a move to the club.
The 22-year-old has signed a loan deal with FC Lorient for the remainder of the season, with the possibility of securing a permanent agreement at the end of the campaign.
Expressing his enthusiasm about the move, Adjei, who now joins the ranks of Ghanaian players in Lorient, sees this as a great chance to compete in one of Europe’s premier leagues.
“It’s a great opportunity for me to sign for Merlus and to discover Ligue 1, a championship which has seen many Ghanaians play there. By joining FC Lorient, I am taking a step forward in my career,” he stated.
“I will continue my progress and strengthen myself at the highest level through contact with my new teammates. The challenge that awaits us is important, but I will do everything to achieve the end-of-season objective,” he added.
Adjei’s stellar performances in the Swedish Allsvenskan with Hammarby IF had attracted attention from various European clubs. Last season, he featured in 32 matches across all competitions for the club.
