Asante Kotoko head coach, Prosper Narteh Ogum, has voiced deep concerns about the team’s recent struggles in the 2024/25 Ghana Premier League season.
The Porcupine Warriors are currently facing a challenging period, having failed to secure a win in their last three games, including two consecutive losses.
Ahead of their Week 10 match against Bechem United, Coach Ogum spoke openly about the anxious atmosphere within the squad. In an interview with Kotoko’s media team, he revealed the shared frustration among both technical staff and players as they work to address the decline in form.
“I’m worried, very concerned about it [our form]. The whole technical team, the players, everybody is worried, and nobody is happy about this situation. We started the league well, so we didn’t anticipate we would face such a challenge,” Coach Ogum said.
Coach Ogum also empathized with the disappointment of the Kotoko fans, who were hopeful after the team’s promising start to the season.
“We all feel, especially me, the pain and emotions of the fans. They expected more from us, and we were delivering before things took a downturn,” he added.
Despite the setbacks, Coach Ogum reassured fans that the team is committed to making improvements and regaining momentum.
“We want to assure them that we are putting the house together. We are regrouping, and we will ensure that we bounce back stronger and play beautifully,” Coach Ogum said confidently.
Kotoko will be aiming to halt their losing streak and revive their campaign in the upcoming clash with Bechem United, scheduled for Sunday, November 10. Fans are hopeful that the Porcupine Warriors will deliver a positive response to restore confidence in their season.
