Asante Kotoko’s head coach, Prosper Narteh Ogum, has reassured fans that the team is fully committed to overcoming their recent poor run in the Ghana Premier League.
The Porcupine Warriors are currently experiencing a challenging spell, having gone three matches without a win, including back-to-back losses in their latest fixtures this 2024/25 season.
Ahead of their Week 10 match, Coach Ogum openly addressed the team’s struggles in a conversation with Kotoko’s media team. He expressed that the disappointing performances have affected not only him but also the entire squad and technical staff.
“I’m worried, very concerned about it [our form]. The whole technical team and all the players—everyone is worried. No one is happy because we started the league well, and we didn’t expect to be in this situation,” Ogum admitted.
He recognized the frustration of Kotoko supporters, who had high hopes after the team’s strong start to the season.
“We all feel the pain and emotions of the fans, especially myself. They expected more from us, and we were meeting their expectations until this unexpected downturn,” he continued.
Despite these setbacks, Ogum assured fans that the team is focused on regrouping and restoring their momentum.
“We want to assure them that we are working hard to turn things around. We’re putting things in order, and we’ll make sure we return stronger and play the exciting football they expect,” Coach Ogum promised.
Kotoko now faces a significant test against Bechem United on Sunday, November 10, as they aim to break their losing streak and return to form. Fans are hopeful for a positive response and a fresh start in the team’s journey forward.
