DR Congo centre-back Dylan Batubinsika has disclosed that Ivory Coast will have a home advantage on Sunday against Nigeria in the finals of the 2023 AFCON.
“I can’t predict who’s gonna win the trophy on Sunday but Ivory Coast will have the home advantage for sure,” said Batubinsika when quizzed about who is the favourite on Sunday.
At the pre-match conference ahead of the South Africa clash on Saturday, the 27-year-old Saint-Etienne defender couldn’t emphatically choose who will win on Sunday but said that Ivory Coast will have a home advantage.
Batubinsika has made three appearances for the Leopards in the ongoing AFCON.
Ivory Coast will face Nigeria in a West African affair on Sunday in Abidjan for the 2023 AFCON finals while Batubinsika’s DR Congo will play Bafana Bafana on Saturday for the bronze medal match.
