Ghanaian winger Abdul Aziz Issah has shared his excitement and pride following his transfer to Barcelona from Dreams FC.
Unveiled alongside his fellow Ghanaian David Oduro on Tuesday, Issah has joined Barcelona on a one-season deal, which runs until June 30, 2025, with an option to buy.
In a statement, Issah expressed his joy, saying, “It’s a great feeling and a massive joy for me. I have been supporting this club for a very long time since childhood and me being here, me being part of this club, I am very grateful for my management, for my team, for the work they have done, everything, I am very grateful. And I can’t wait to get started.”
The 19-year-old, who made a mark with Dreams FC, especially during their CAF Confederation Cup campaign last season, compared his style to Barcelona’s emerging talent Lamine Yamal.
“I describe myself as a Lamine Yamal type of player, left-footed, who likes shooting and attacking. Yes, that’s how Aziz is,” he added.
Issah will initially feature for Barcelona B, the club’s reserve team, with hopes of catching the eye of first-team manager Hansi Flick.
