Prior to the match against Portugal in the 2022 World Cup, Ghana’s head coach, Otto Addo, claims that Cristiano Ronaldo’s problems with Manchester United won’t affect his team, the Black Stars.
Ronaldo’s contract with Manchester United was mutually terminated after his fiery Piers Morgan interview in which he criticised the team.
The European country will be the Black Stars’ first opponent at Stadium 974 on Thursday, November 24.
Addo asserted in a press conference prior to the game that the Black Stars are unconcerned with the 37-year-old’s troubles with the Premier League team.
“I don’t know and to be honest, I don’t care. It’s not our problem and I don’t think it’s a big problem,” he said at the pre-game presser.
“Everybody wants to win. No matter what happens, it’s a big stage, a big game at the World Cup level, so I don’t think normally this can disrupt anybody.”
