Egypt national team captain, Mohamed Salah, spoke before their clash against Senegal in the 2022 World Cup qualifiers.
After finishing top of the group in the previous round, Senegal are now set to face Egypt in the final playoff round of the 2022 World Cup qualifiers.
The two titans will be confronting each other for one of Africa’s five spots in the upcoming World Cup in Qatar.
The first leg will be held in the Cairo International Stadium this Friday, 25 March at 9:30pm. Meanwhile, the second leg will be held in Dakar on March 29th at 7:00pm.
The clash will also be a repeat of the 2021 AFCON final, where the Teranga Lions beat the Pharaohs on penalties.
Egypt will be looking to take their revenge this time around, but Salah says there’s no use to talk and promises to do their best during both games.
“We promise everyone that the players will give their all to win this match,” Salah told the players during the Minister of Foreign Affairs’ visit to the national team.
“I don’t want to talk much because everyone knows the importance of the two matches and god willing we will win the game,” he added.
