Ghana coach Otto Addo has voiced his strong desire to secure victories following a challenging start to the 2025 Africa Cup of Nations (AFCON) qualifiers.

The Black Stars, in pursuit of their fifth continental title, began their qualifying campaign with a disappointing 1-0 defeat to Angola at Baba Yara Stadium, followed by a 1-1 draw against Niger in their second Group F match in Berkane.

During the squad unveiling on Friday, October 4, ahead of the upcoming doubleheader against Sudan, the 45-year-old expressed his frustrations over the team’s inability to earn maximum points from their initial fixtures. “I hate to lose games,” Addo stated. “I aimed for us to start our qualifiers on a good note, but we could not, and I was disappointed.”

In preparation for the crucial matches, Addo has announced a 25-man squad for the games against Sudan. The Black Stars, currently sitting third in Group F, will commence training on Monday in Accra, gearing up for their first leg, scheduled for October 10 at the Accra Sports Stadium, followed by the return match in Benina, Libya, on October 15.
