Red Bull Salzburg midfielder, Lawrence Agyekum, says he just wants to get the opportunity to represent Ghana regardless of the level he is called up to play.

The midfielder has made a quick rise in European football after joining the Austrian top-flight side from Division One League side, WAFA, back in February 2022.

Loan to partner club Liefering at the start of his European journey, the teenager was recalled by Salzburg for the first after his quick development and has already made his senior debut for the club.

In an interview with 3 Sports, the player, who is yet to represent Ghana at any level says it will be a dream to play for the national team.

“It’s every player’s dream to play for his national team,” he said.

“Whether the U-23, U-20 or Black Stars, so far as you are wearing Ghana’s jersey, it’s a dream come true to play for your motherland.”

The player has returned to Austria after his holidays as he prepares for the return of the Bundesliga.
