At the Kingdom Arena in Riyadh, Francis Ngannou was beaten, battered, destroyed and damaged by the impeccable Anthony Joshua as he was knocked out in the second round of the much-anticipated bout.

Speaking about the rest of his career after the defeat against Joshua, Francis Ngannou said, “I’m going to take some time to rest and come back because I knew what I was doing.

The former UFC heavyweight champion says he knew what he was doing but exactly did not tell his fans. A UFC fighter trying to make a name for himself against the super boxers was always going to be a risky one as happened in the defeat against Joshua.

“I knew what I was doing was dangerous, to come and attack the top of the game for my debut and that’s what happened.”

Crossing from MMA to boxing is very simple as the two games have similarities but to commence with the creme de la creme was a dangerous business.

Ngannou commenced his boxing career in a blockbuster bout against Tyson Fury in which he shocked everyone by knocking down the British master but lost.

In his second bout, he was paired against the monstrous Anthony Joshua and he was beaten and beaten pretty well.

Francis Ngannou lost to Anthony Joshua via knockout in the Second Round.

The 37-year-old Cameroonian needs a rest indeed because he has made a fortune. In the two fights, he has made more than €20 million.
