Minister of Sports and Recreation, Kofi Adams, has expressed confidence in the Black Stars as they prepare for their crucial 2026 FIFA World Cup qualifying matches against Chad and Madagascar.
Despite the team’s recent struggles, Adams believes they have what it takes to return to top form and secure vital wins in both fixtures. He emphasized that victories in these matches will significantly boost Ghana’s chances of qualifying for the tournament.
“I know the Black Stars are going to win against Chad and Madagascar,” he stated, as quoted by 3Sports on X.
Meanwhile, players called up for the qualifiers have begun arriving in camp, with the team set to commence training on Monday, March 17, 2025.
Ghana will host Chad at the Accra Sports Stadium on March 21 before traveling to face Madagascar in an away fixture on March 24.
The Black Stars currently sit second in Group I with nine points, level with leaders Comoros, while Madagascar follow in third with seven points and Mali in fourth with five.
