Ghanaian midfielder, Edmund Addo, is determined not to rest on his laurels despite his commendable performance for the Black Stars during the recent international break.
Addo, who featured in Ghana’s matches against Nigeria and Uganda in March, acknowledges his solid contribution but remains grounded, emphasizing the need to maintain a strong work ethic upon his return to club duties.
Reflecting on his recent outings with the national team, Addo expressed confidence in his abilities but recognized that selection decisions ultimately lie with the coaching staff.
“I think I’m confident to be part of the team, but you know the coaching staff decides on who to be handed a call-up at a particular moment. All I need to do is to continue working hard at club level to convince the coach to cement a place in the squad,” Addo affirmed.
With Ghana gearing up for upcoming 2026 FIFA World Cup qualifiers in June, Addo understands the importance of consistent effort and performance to secure his spot in future Black Stars squads.
