Asante Kotoko head coach Prosper Narteh Ogum has predicted an exciting encounter when his side takes on Berekum Chelsea in an outstanding Ghana Premier League Matchday 21 fixture on Wednesday at the Baba Yara Stadium.
Ogum believes the depth and quality of Chelsea’s squad, coupled with the tactical expertise of head coach Samuel Boadu, will make for a competitive match.
“Samuel Boadu is a very good coach and a good friend. On the domestic scene, he is one of the coaches I have a close relationship with. He is tactically astute, has seen it all, and has won the league and the FA Cup twice. That tells you how competent and high-quality a coach he is. He is a fine gentleman and a top coach, and I think the game will be interesting,” Ogum told the club’s media.
The Kotoko boss also highlighted the strength of Berekum Chelsea’s squad, pointing out key players such as Stephen Amankona, Zakaria Fuseini, and Stephen Sarfo.
“They have quality on the field and on the bench, which will make the game very competitive,” he added.
Kotoko currently lead the Ghana Premier League table with 42 points from 23 matches, while Chelsea sit eighth with 32 points. A victory for Kotoko would further solidify their title ambitions.
