Asante Kotoko head coach Prosper Narteh Ogum has heaped praise on Berekum Chelsea’s Samuel Boadu ahead of their Ghana Premier League showdown.
The Porcupine Warriors will host Chelsea at the Baba Yara Stadium on Wednesday in an outstanding Matchday 21 fixture of the Ghanaian top-flight.
Speaking ahead of the encounter, Ogum expressed admiration for his counterpart, highlighting Boadu’s achievements and tactical acumen.
“Samuel Boadu is a very good coach and a good friend. On the domestic scene, he is one of the coaches I have a close relationship with. He is tactically sound and has seen it all. He has won the league and the FA Cup twice, which speaks volumes about his competence and quality as a coach. He is a fine gentleman and a top manager, and I think this game will be very exciting,” Ogum told the club’s media.
The Kotoko boss also acknowledged the strength of Berekum Chelsea’s squad, singling out key players such as Stephen Amankona, Zakaria Fuseini, and Stephen Sarfo.
“They have quality on the field and on the bench, which will make the game very competitive,” he added.
Kotoko currently lead the Ghana Premier League table with 42 points from 23 matches, while Chelsea sit in eighth place with 32 points. A victory for Kotoko would further boost their title aspirations.
