West Ham United midfielder Mohammed Kudus has expressed his ambition to lead the club back to European competition following their absence last season.

The 23-year-old Ghanaian, who joined West Ham from Ajax Amsterdam last summer, was a standout performer for the Hammers, making a significant impact both in the Premier League and the Europa League.

Kudus scored 18 goals and provided seven assists in 48 appearances across all competitions last season. He was recognized as Europe’s top dribbler for the 2023/24 season and earned West Ham’s Goal of the Season award for his spectacular 70-yard solo effort against SC Freiburg.

Looking ahead, Kudus is focused on surpassing his previous achievements. “Personally, I want to do better than I did last season with numbers and performances,” Kudus told the club’s website. “But most importantly, I want to help the team get back into Europe and challenge for the top six. That’s my main goal – to help the team achieve those objectives.”

As West Ham gears up for the new season, Kudus’ drive and performance will be vital for their bid to return to European competition and secure a stronger finish in the Premier League.
