Switchbacks FC striker Elvis Amoh is hoping that the Black Stars of Ghana win the 2021 Africa Cup of Nations tournament in Cameroon.
Ghana, four-time African Champions, haven’t won the Nations Cup trophy since last winning it in 1982 are want to clinch the prestigious title under Serbian tactician Milovan Rajevac hopefully this year in Cameroon.
Ghana’s contingent are scheduled to depart Doha for Yaoundé on Friday, January 7, 2022 to take on the rest of Africa at the 2022 Africa Cup of Nations in Cameroon.
According to the US-based striker, he expects the Ghanaian team to put up an incredible performance when the tournament starts next week and go ahead to win the ultimate.
“I play alongside Gideon Mensah at WAFA and looking at the final squad of Ghana is a combination of experience and youth. It’s a good squad.I wish we win the AFCON and I am praying they go far in the tournament.” Amoh told FM in an interview.
Ghana, four-time African Champions are pitted in Group C with Morocco, Gabon and Comoros.
Meanwhile, Ghana coach Milovan Rajevac on Monday 3rd January, 2022 announced his final 28-man squad for the tournament.
