Annor Walker, the head coach of Great Olympics, is resolute in his belief that his team will maintain their position at the top of the Ghana Premier League standings for an extended period.
These remarks follow his team’s impressive 3-0 victory over Accra Lions during the fifth matchday at the Accra Sports Stadium on Monday afternoon.
Notably, the victory was sealed with a brace from Michael Yeboah and a goal from Emmanuel Antwi, propelling Great Olympics to the summit of the Premier League table with 9 points.
“I would wish to remain at the top of the league until the end, but I’m sure we’ll be there for quite some time. The defenders are solid, but I was working on improving our attack throughout the week,” commented the experienced coach after the match.
Walker further explained that he had emphasized the importance of offensive contributions from players in wide and central positions.
He noted, “I had to talk to those who are assisting from the wings and from the middle, the offensive midfielders, to also help, and you saw that two of the goals came from one of my wingers, Michael Yeboah.”
Great Olympics is set to face Aduana FC in the sixth matchday, which will take place at the Nana Agyemang Badu Park in Dormaa this weekend.
