Abdul Karim Zito has expressed satisfaction with his achievements at Asante Kotoko, describing his time at the club as short but successful.
Zito took over the Porcupine Warriors in April last year and guided them to MTN FA Cup success at the end of the season. In less than a year, he managed to secure four trophies for the club, a record he says gives him pride despite his early exit.
Reflecting on his time in charge, the former Kotoko coach highlighted his achievements and personal fulfillment.
“I have been on the job for barely a year, and I won four trophies. I am very happy about it,” he said.
Following his resignation, Asante Kotoko have announced that assistant coaches Prince Osei Yaw and Mohammed Hamza Obeng will take temporary charge of the team. Their first major task will be the upcoming league clash against arch-rivals Hearts of Oak.
Zito’s departure closes a chapter many fans will remember for silverware, even as the club prepares for a new direction.
