The President of New Edubiase football club, Abdul Salam Yakubu has revealed that he doesn’t want 19-year-old midfielder Salim Adams to play at Hearts of Oak in the long term.
Speaking in an interview on Wontumi TV on Monday, February 28, the bankroller of the Edubiase based club said that he rates Salim Adams as a top footballer and wants the player to continue his career development outside the shores of Ghana.
Abdul Salam Yakubu while touching on the possible destinations of the player who currently plays on loan at Hearts of Oak said he had received two offers from Europe and one from America.
“I have received three offers from abroad, one from America and two from Europe. In Europe for instance, a Danish club has shown interest in him. Also a team in Minnesota, USA has even made an official request for the player” he said.
He however added that Hearts of Oak have also made an offer to sign him permanently with a promise to ship him abroad as soon as a suitable offer arrives.
Yakubu also thanked the league champions for having faith in his player and for allowing him to prove his worth.
Salim Adams is on a season-long loan from New Edubiase FC.
The player since his arrival has gradually wormed his way into the starting lineup of the Hearts Of Oak and is fast becoming a fan favourite.
