Ghanaian forward Ibrahim Sadiq continued his fine form on Thursday evening as he scored in AZ Alkmaar’s 2-0 victory over Bulgarian side Levski Sofia in the Europa Conference League playoff round.
The 25-year-old started in attack for the Dutch Eredivisie outfit and broke the deadlock in the 56th minute, calmly finishing from an Isak Jensen assist after a tightly contested first half.
Just six minutes later, in-form striker Troy Parrott doubled the lead to give AZ full control of the tie heading into the second leg.
Sadiq, who played the entire 90 minutes, has now scored in back-to-back games, making it two goals in two appearances this season. Since joining AZ in September 2023, he has established himself as a consistent attacking threat, notably recording more headed goals than any other player in the squad.
The Ghana international is steadily becoming a key figure for Alkmaar and will be aiming to add more goals and assists as the 2025/26 campaign progresses.
