Atalanta midfielder Ibrahim Sulemana has finally linked up with the Black Stars squad in London after resolving visa issues that delayed his arrival.
The 22-year-old missed Ghana’s 2-1 loss to Nigeria in the Unity Cup due to the travel setback. The Ghana Football Association had earlier confirmed that Sulemana was awaiting visa clearance, which kept him out of the initial stages of the team’s preparations.
He arrived at camp on Thursday evening and is now available for selection ahead of Ghana’s third-place playoff clash against Trinidad & Tobago.
Sulemana’s arrival comes as a timely boost for head coach Otto Addo and his team, who are aiming to end the international break on a high note.
The midfielder joins the squad following a strong end to his club season with Atalanta, where he scored two stunning goals and played a key role in the team’s successful push for UEFA Champions League qualification.
His presence is expected to bring added energy and flexibility to Ghana’s midfield as they gear up for their final match of the tournament.
