Ghanaian forward Mohammed Fuseini has stated that his confidence in penalty-taking after scoring a crucial spot-kick to secure Union Saint-Gilloise’s victory over Sporting Charleroi in the Belgium Jupiler Pro League.
Fuseini, who joined the Belgian side this summer, stepped up in the 93rd minute and coolly converted the penalty, sealing a 1-0 win for his team on Saturday.
In a post-match interview, the 22-year-old made it clear that taking penalties is one of his key strengths, and he relishes the opportunity to deliver under pressure.
“Taking penalties has always been one of my assets,” Fuseini asserted. “I don’t really feel pressure when I’m at the spot. If I have a chance, I just make sure I score the goal, and that’s it.”
Fuseini’s confidence is backed by his early-season form, with two goals and an assist in just three matches since joining Union Saint-Gilloise.
His self-assured approach to penalties and his ability to deliver in clutch moments are quickly making him a standout player for the club.
