Ghana’s former deputy Minister for Youth and Sports, Hon. Vincent Oppong Asamoah says he’s very content with the Black Stars performance at the 2022 FIFA World Cup tournament in Qatar.
The Dormaa West Constituency in the Brong-Ahafo Region member of Parliament says the Black Stars met his expectations after the group stages exit.
According to the former sports minister, the senior national team did very well at the 2022 FIFA World Cup tournament in Qatar despite exiting at the group stages.
“I am not disappointed in the Blackstars,they did very well and they met my expectations.”
“Anyone who expected the team to reach the height of the 2010 team was being very unfair to the coaches and players-Hon Vincent Oppong Asamoah.
Ghana suffered a 3-2 defeat in their first 2022 FIFA World Cup game against Portugal on Thursday, November 24 but beat South Korea 3-2 in their second group game.
Nonetheless, the Black Stars succumbed to their old foe, Uruguay in their final Group H game on December 2nd which meant elimination from the 2022 FIFA World Cup tournament in Qatar at group stage.
