Ghanaian versatile player Nathaniel Adjei says he’s ready to play different roles on the pitch following his impressive showings in the Sweden Allsvenskan.
The youngster has been playing as a midfielder for Hammarby IF in the Sweden top-flight in four matches for the Green and Whites outfit.
On sSunday afternoon at home to Djurgarden IF, the 20-year-old Ghana footballer was deployed as a defender for his team in their narrow but impressive win.
The Ghanaian youngster scored his first goal of the season for Hammarby Fotboll in the Sweden Allsvenskan on Sunday afternoon.
“I played in the last game and felt good. There are certain circumstances where the team lacked some players in the defensive area so since I’m also a defender, I had to justify the faith the coach showed in me,” Adjei remarked on Hammarby TV.
“It’s been a good ride so far and I believe with hard work it will even be better.”
“I’m open to playing different roles on the pitch. I believe it will benefit my development and allow me to showcase my talent in any club I find myself in.”
The young lad got his name on the score sheet for his team as they beat Djurgarden IF in a dramatic game which ended 4-3 to his team.
The youngster played full throttle for the Green and Whites outfit and was rated 8.3 by FotMob and 8.2 by WhoScored.com following a master class display.
Nahir Besara broke the deadlock of the match to put the hosts 1 -0 up before Adjei scored to make it 2-0 before the halftime whistles with a forty-plus fourth minute strike.
The visitors scored three goals in the second half of the match as the hosts scored two goals in the second 45 minutes of the match to win all three points with a 4-3 score line.
The 20-year-old Ghanaian prodigy has one goal in five matches in the Sweden Allsvenskan this season.
