Ghana forward Inaki Williams has been nominated for the La Liga Player of the Month for September following his standout performances with Athletic Bilbao in recent weeks.
The striker has played a pivotal role in the team’s success, contributing to five goals in just four league matches.
During September, Williams logged 285 minutes on the pitch, scoring once and providing four assists, while completing 69 successful passes across the four games. His impressive form has positioned him as a key player for Bilbao as they navigate the season.
To clinch the award, Williams will face stiff competition from notable nominees, including Kylian Mbappe of Real Madrid, Barcelona’s rising star Lamine Yamal, Carlos Vicente from Alaves, and Lo Celso of Real Betis.
As he seeks to add this accolade to his resume, the 29-year-old is also expected to play a crucial role for Ghana in the upcoming 2025 AFCON qualifying doubleheader against Sudan next month.
