Ghanaian forward Inaki Williams was back among the goals for Athletic Bilbao in the league win over Villarreal on Sunday evening.
The Black Stars attacker was handed a starting spot in Ernesto Valverde’s team for the La Liga game with the player once again starting alongside his brother in attack.
Inigo Ruiz de Galarreta opened the scoring for the away side after just two minutes with Nico Williams being the provider of the assist before the Spain international doubled the lead 20 minutes later.
Eight minutes after his junior brother had scored, Inaki also ended up on Oihan Sancet’s pass to extend the lead to three after 30 minutes and send Athletic fans cruising at the break.
Inaki was taken off in the 86th minute of the encounter to some cheering from the crown.
Villarreal scored two goals in two minutes with Gerard Moreno and Alexander Sorloth getting on the scoresheet but Athletic Bilbao held onto their lead to secure all three points.
The goal on Sunday means Inaki has now scored five goals in the Spanish top flight this same, the same number as Barcelona’s Robert Lewandowski.
