The Capelli Boys showed remarkable resilience to overcome WAFA’s early lead, scoring an equalizer in the 53rd minute to take the game to a penalty shootout.
In the shootout, Inter Allies emerged victorious, securing a 4-1 win to clinch the Volta Region Division Two title and earn promotion to the Division One League.
This marks a significant turnaround for Inter Allies, who were relegated to the Division Two following a match-fixing scandal against Ashantigold during the 2021/22 Ghana Premier League campaign.
