Former Asante Kotoko midfielder Enoch Morrison has opened up about his difficult spell under coach Prosper Narteh Ogum, describing the experience as challenging due to what he called rigid tactics and poor communication.
Now plying his trade with Gor Mahia in Kenya, Morrison’s past remarks in an interview with Fakye TV have resurfaced in the wake of Ogum’s recent dismissal following a string of poor results in the Ghana Premier League.
“For me, he’s challenging, not because he puts pressure on players, but because he doesn’t handle feedback well,” Morrison explained. “If we raise concerns or suggest an alternative, he often insists on his way. That made things tense.”
The former Kotoko midfielder also highlighted issues with Ogum’s approach to player relationships, claiming the coach often took feedback personally.
“His communication with players was also an issue. When a player voiced an opinion or wasn’t getting minutes, he tended to take it personally. That created unnecessary friction,” he added.
Morrison featured for the Porcupine Warriors during the 2022/23 season, a campaign that ended in disappointment as the club failed to retain their league title.
