Ghana’s Black Meteors new goalkeeper Jordan Amissah is on cloud nine after getting his first international call-up to play for Ghana.
The shot stopper for English Premier League side Sheffield United FC has expressed his utmost joy and happiness after wearing the national team jersey of Ghana.
He’s part of the Ghana Olympic Football team who will represent the country at the CAF U-23 Championship in Morocco in two days time.
“Since I was young boy it was my dream to have the black star on my chest and represent the country I love with all my heart.”
“It’s a promise I made to my late grandfather. I’m so happy to see this promise become reality but so sad that you are not around to witness it!”, he added.
He saved a spot kick against Egyptian side Zamalek FC in a pre-caf U-23 Championship friendly last Tuesday when Ghana won 4-1 ahead of the tournament.
