Football administrator Takyi Arhin has expressed his belief that finding a suitable replacement for retired professional striker Asamoah Gyan will be an arduous task.
According to Arhin, Asamoah Gyan’s exceptional skill and finesse on the field were unmatched, making it challenging to find a player of his caliber within a reasonable timeframe.
During an interview on Rainbow Sports, Arhin stated that discovering a player with the same level of performance as Asamoah Gyan would require a miracle.
”Finding a replacement for Asamoah Gyan would take time. I’m not aware of any other striker of Asamoah Gyan’s calibre. We don’t have strikers with Asamoah Gyan’s level of play. I’m not aware of any striker who can compete with Asamoah Gyan. It would take a miracle to land a player of his calibre.
Arhin emphasized that the current strikers in the team fall short in terms of scoring goals, while the midfielders have been shouldering the responsibility. He believes the coaches have a significant task ahead to address this issue and develop the necessary talent within the team.
“We do not currently have a player to replace him. Our current strikers lack the ability and talent to put Asamoah Gyan away. Our midfielders are currently scoring goals. Our strikers lack the ability to score goals. Our coaches, I believe, have a lot of work to do to address these issues.”
