Victorien Adebayor, the former forward of Legon Cities, is reportedly close to finalizing a move to Tanzanian giants Simba SC ahead of the 2023-24 football season.
According to sources, the 26-year-old Nigerien player, who has been struggling for playing time with Moroccan giants RS Berkane, has reached an agreement on personal terms with Simba SC and has been promised more opportunities on the field.
Adebayor’s playing time diminished following the departure of Florent Ibenge to Al Hilal in Sudan.
Adebayor, who joined RS Berkane in August 2022 on a four-year contract, has made four appearances for the club without registering a goal or an assist. He was recommended to RS Berkane by Head Coach Robertinho Olivera.
It is expected that Victorien Adebayor will sign a two-year contract with an option for an additional year. Prior to his time at RS Berkane, he played for Inter Allies and Legon Cities in the Ghana Premier League.
