Newly-signed Hearts of Oak defender, Liventius Arthur has expressed his immense satisfaction in joining the club.
The 21-year-old defender has commenced training with the team after finalizing a two-year contract that will see him don the Phobians’ jersey until 2025.
“It’s a great feeling and feel so excited to play for Accra Hearts of Oak, one of the biggest clubs in the continent. It’s really a great feeling,” Arthur conveyed.
When asked about his decision to choose Hearts over other teams, he replied, “Playing for one of the biggest clubs in the continent is a great feeling. It’s a privilege to play for Hearts of Oak. Hearts over any team,” he told the club’s media.
Arthur’s transition to Hearts comes after his tenure at Tamale City FC during the 2022/23 season.
Renowned for his exceptional skills as a left-back, the 21-year-old was highly sought after in the country due to his impressive displays with Tamale Citizens last season.
Despite Tamale Citizens’ relegation to the Division One League, Arthur stood out with remarkable performances, accumulating a total of 29 appearances.
In the upcoming season, Arthur will provide formidable competition for Dennis Korsah, his former teammate at Ebusua Dwarfs.
