Asante Kotoko defender Joseph Ablorh has confidently predicted a straightforward encounter when his side takes on archrivals Hearts of Oak in the highly anticipated Super Clash on Sunday.
The Porcupine Warriors will host the Phobians at the Baba Yara Stadium in Kumasi for the Matchday 13 fixture of the 2024/25 Ghana Premier League season. With both teams aiming for maximum points, fans are expecting a thrilling showdown.
Speaking ahead of the game, Ablorh dismissed the attacking threat of Hearts of Oak, declaring that the match would not be a difficult challenge for Kotoko.
“This is my first time playing in the Ghana Premier League, but I’ve played tough matches in Guinea. Playing Hearts of Oak will be easy for me,” he stated.
“I don’t see any tough strikers at Hearts. I’ve faced good strikers outside, and this will make it easy for me. It’s going to be an easy match for us,” Ablorh added.
He also urged fans to rally behind the team, promising a victory. “I plead with our fans to troop to the stadium in their numbers to cheer us on. We will beat Hearts of Oak on Sunday. I believe in my teammates.”
Ablorh, 27, joined Asante Kotoko at the start of the current season and has become a key figure in the team, featuring in 11 league matches.
The Porcupine Warriors are seventh on the league table with 18 points, while Hearts of Oak occupy sixth place with 19 points after 12 matches. Sunday’s Super Clash is set to kick off at 3:00 PM GMT.
