According to coach Paa Kwasi Fabin, Aduana Stars are still confident they can win the 2022/23 Ghana Premier League despite missing out on the chance to extend their lead at the top of the standings.
In their matchday 30 fixture against Karela United on Monday at Dormaa’s Nana Agyemang Badu Park, Aduana failed to convert several chances in the first half.
Fabin expressed his disappointment at the missed opportunities in the first half and said, “We could have finished the game in the first half,” Fabin, who is the head coach of the side told StarTimes.
“We messed them all up. That’s football for you. Every day, we come here, we work on scoring, and yet I don’t know.”
“We’ll keep working on it and see what happens. I’m sure we’ll win the league,” he added.
When asked if the draw would harm their title chances, Fabin said, “It’s a bit shaky, but we’re still on top, so we’re still fighting. We’ll keep working on it and see what happens. I’m sure we’ll win the league.”
Aduana currently sits at the top of the league table with 52 points and will play Accra Lions at the Accra Sports Stadium in their matchday 31 fixture on Sunday. Aduana has won the Ghana Premier League twice.
