Joseph Paintsil, the Ghanaian international playing for KRC Genk in Belgium, has refused to reveal any information about his future at the club.
Despite being a crucial player for Genk and contributing 15 goals and 11 assists in the league, Paintsil has been linked with interest from other clubs.
However, when asked about his future, he stated that it was too early to tell and that he couldn’t trust any rumors until the day arrives.
“For now, I cannot tell where I will play next season. It is too early. I have heard the rumours circulating around but I can’t trust it until the day comes,” he said as quoted by Footballghana.
Some Premier League teams, such as Brighton, Brentford, and Fulham, have reportedly shown interest in the former Tema Youth player.
Nonetheless, Genk has dismissed the possibility of a summer transfer for Paintsil, as they aim to build a strong squad for European competitions in the upcoming season.
Paintsil’s contract with Genk is set to expire in the summer of 2026.
