Moroccan midfielder Sofyan Amrabat has been extremely delightful to watch in Manchester United’s last two games.
On Sunday against Arsenal, even though Manchester United lost narrowly, he was one of the few positives one could see in Manchester United’s midfield.
The Moroccan midfielder on Wednesday night against Newcastle United in Manchester United’s 3-2 win was so sensational once again for the Red Devils.
Signed on loan from Fiorentina, it took Manchester United almost three months to secure the powerful midfielder’s signature but has been sidelined by Erik Ten Hag much to the surprise of many Manchester United fans.
Blessed with aggression, strength and stamina, the 27-year-old has proven to everyone that he is the missing midfielder in Manchester United’s midfield.
“But trust me, this is still not Sofyan on the top”, said Amrabat in an interview after the game.
“It’s my second 90 mins in four, five months,” added Sofyan. The Moroccan workaholic defensive midfielder has been on the bench regularly for Manchester United in the last five months.
“I’ve been patient. I was always ready for the team when they needed me, one minute or ten minutes,” concluded Amrabat.
The midfielder revealed that he has been patient and has always been ready to assist the team in any form.
Many Manchester United fans have been wondering why the midfielder has not been given the chance to play regularly for the club. He is expected to return to Fiorentina at the end of the season since nothing has been discussed between the Red Devils and the Italian side.
