Former Ghanaian international Kevin-Prince Boateng has made it clear that he has severed ties with his brother, Jerome Boateng.
This decision comes in response to allegations of violence against women leveled against Jerome, to which he has been found guilty and ordered to pay a fine of nearly two million Euros.
The case surrounding Jerome Boateng’s domestic violence has ignited controversy, especially regarding the response of his former club, Bayern Munich, which has been criticized for downplaying the issue by referring to it as a ‘private matter.’
During an interview on the Five UK podcast with Rio Ferdinand, Kevin-Prince Boateng explained that he has distanced himself from his brother due to the controversy surrounding him.
Kevin-Prince emphasized his commitment to respecting German law and his strong condemnation of violence against women. As a result, he no longer associates with Jerome Boateng.
“I distanced myself from Jérôme a long time ago“
“I value and respect German law. I abhor violence against women! I don’t identify with my brother’s attitudes and that’s why I no longer have anything to do with him.”
Kevin-Prince Boateng, who opted to represent Ghana internationally, has earned 15 caps for the Black Stars and scored two goals. In contrast, Jerome Boateng chose to play for Germany.
