Watford forward Kwadwo Baah has expressed his surprise and pride in how far he has come since joining the club, after signing a new five-year contract that will keep him with the Hornets until the end of the 2028-29 season.
The 21-year-old made an immediate impact with a goal on his Watford debut during a Carabao Cup match against MK Dons in August. He followed up with his first Championship appearance just days later and has since featured in six more league games, including his first start against Preston earlier this month.
Baah’s standout moment came recently when he scored a late winner against Middlesbrough, further establishing his potential as a key player for the club. Reflecting on his journey so far, Baah remarked, “It’s a great achievement, and I’ve probably achieved more than I expected since joining Watford. There’s still more to come. I got my first Championship goal, and now I’m aiming for bigger and better things, like pushing Watford towards the play-offs or even beyond.”
Baah, who joined from Rochdale in July 2021, has spent the last two seasons on loan at Fortuna Düsseldorf and Burton Albion. Now back at Watford, the young striker is expected to play a central role in the club’s ambitions moving forward.
