Crystal Palace forward Jordan Ayew has praised manager Roy Hodgson for his role in ensuring he plays at his best.
The Ghana international has been one of Palace’s top performers since the return of the Englishman and has been more productive under the current boss.
Ayew was named Palace’s Player of the Month for August and has enjoyed a good spell on the pitch since then.
Speaking to the team’s media, the 32-year-old talked about the importance of Hodgson in the team at the moment.
“It’s just exceptional. With him, I just feel a different vibe. He gives you responsibility. I like to have responsibilities,” he said.
“He gives you confidence, he gives you belief, and he gives you opportunities to express yourself. That’s why we, the forward players under him, are flourishing. He gives us the opportunity to express ourselves.
“Everyone has their own talent and skills, and he gives you the opportunity to express yourself. That’s why all of us enjoy playing under him.”
Agee has started all 11 league games this season, scoring one and providing three assists in the process.
