Crystal Palace chairman Steve Parish has praised Ghanaian forward Jordan Ayew for his unwavering commitment to the club, emphasizing that he consistently gives his all, both on and off the pitch.
This commendation comes in the wake of the 32-year-old signing a contract extension that will keep him at the club until 2025, as his previous deal was set to expire in 2024.
Crystal Palace announced Jordan’s contract extension on Wednesday, and Steve Parish expressed his satisfaction with the decision. He said, “Jordan is a fantastic professional, on and off the pitch. His efforts are never less than 100%, and as a result, he provides an outstanding example to his teammates day in, day out.”
Jordan Ayew has made an impressive start to the 2023/24 season, including scoring a remarkable half-volley goal in Crystal Palace’s 2-1 match against Tottenham Hotspur over the weekend. He has also contributed crucial assists in games against Sheffield United, Brentford, and Plymouth, earning him the Crystal Palace Player of the Month award for August.
Since joining Crystal Palace from Swansea City on loan in August 2018, Ayew has become a regular presence in the team, participating in 186 matches across all competitions and featuring in all 41 of the club’s games last season.
