Dreams FC captain Joseph Esso has pledged to steer his team towards a stronger performance in the Ghana Premier League (GPL) following a challenging start to the season.
Currently sitting 15th on the league table after 12 matches, the Still Believe lads have struggled to find consistency. Despite this, Esso remains hopeful that the team can reverse their fortunes and climb the standings.
As captain, Esso understands the critical role he plays in inspiring his teammates and driving the team forward. Speaking to 3Sports, he emphasized his responsibility to lead by example.
“As a captain, you know if things go well, they will look up to you. And me as a senior player, I will be expected to lift the boys up or do something to put the thing in a better position on the league log,” he said.
Expressing his dissatisfaction with the team’s current standing, Esso reiterated his commitment to improving their performance. “I’m personally not happy with the way things are going with Dreams FC,” he added.
Dreams FC will now aim to regroup and fight their way up the table, with Esso determined to lead the charge and bring renewed energy to the squad.
