The owner of Tema Youth, Osei Kwaku Palmer, claims that Joseph Paintsil’s issues with the Black Stars are as a result of his association with him.
Despite having a strong start to the season at the club, the Genk winger has reportedly been left off Otto Addo’s final World Cup team.
The 24-year-old, who was named to the 55-man squad list, has contributed to 11 goals in the Belgian League this year.
However, Palmer claims that he is unsure of what it will take to make Paintsil a dependable member of the senior national squad.
”Sometimes it hurts when I see how he’s being treated in the national team.
“We watched the AFCON and he was one of the best players, yet he sat out the next two games.
”I’ve reached a conclusion that he’s being snubbed because of his affiliation to me”
