Asante Kotoko’s Interim Management Committee (IMC) will hold an emergency meeting this afternoon to decide the future of head coach Dr. Prosper Narteh Ogum, following a dip in form in the Ghana Premier League.
The decision follows a disappointing run of results, including a 3-0 loss to Accra Lions last week and a 2-0 defeat to Nations FC on Sunday—two back-to-back losses that have increased pressure on the former WAFA boss.
Sources close to the club indicate that management has already resolved not to retain Ogum beyond the current campaign, with an official announcement expected after today’s meeting.
The agenda will also include discussions on possible replacements for Ogum, as the club looks to stabilize its season with just six league matches remaining.
Kotoko currently sit fourth on the league table with 47 points. Under Ogum this season, the Porcupine Warriors have recorded 13 wins, 8 draws, and 7 losses—scoring 28 goals and conceding 21—averaging 1.68 points per game.
Despite their inconsistent league form, Kotoko remain in contention for silverware in the MTN FA Cup and will face Berekum Chelsea in the semi-finals.
The club’s next league assignment is a crucial fixture against Aduana Stars.
