Nations FC head coach Kassim Ocansey Mingle has expressed his delight following his side’s impressive 2-0 victory over Asante Kotoko in a highly anticipated Ghana Premier League match-week 28 clash at the Dr. Kwame Kyei Sports Complex.
The Eagles continued their unbeaten league run against the Porcupine Warriors with another commanding performance. Nafiu Sulemana opened the scoring in the 15th minute with a stunning strike before Emmanuel Annor added a second just before halftime to seal all three points.
Speaking after the game, Coach Mingle revealed that the team went into the fixture with a clear goal to win and maintain momentum in the title race.
“We came with our game plan to get the goals, and it worked to perfection,” Mingle said. “I told my players they had to win this game if they truly wanted to be title contenders. They were all motivated, they executed the plan, and everyone played their role. We came to win, and that was our only strategy.”
The victory sees Nations FC stay second on the league table with 51 points. They will face another tough test when they travel to take on Berekum Chelsea in their next outing.
